Dr. Sanjay Kuttan has been appointed head of DNV's risk management activities towards regional power and utility companies. He joins DNV in April as Director of its Clean Technology Centre from his former position as Director of Industry Development with the Energy Market Authority in Singapore.

The regional power and transmission market is undergoing tremendous pressure to enable the aspirations of their customers in a safe, reliable and sustainable way,” says Dr. Kuttan.
As one of the world’s leading risk management and sustainability service providers with over 40 years’ presence in Singapore, DNV opened its Clean Technology Centre (CTC) in March 2010 to meet the growing demand for clean technology innovation and incubation services in South East Asia within the segments of Green Ports and Shipping, LNG, Wind & Renewables as well as Power Generation & Transmission.
“I am also looking forward to working together with colleague Dr. Ho Hiang Kwee, Director (Urban Solutions), who joined CTC in 2010,” says Dr. Kuttan. “He brings a wealth of technical knowledge and experience in energy and power systems and technologies from many years as a university professor, and as Director of A*STAR’s Experimental Power Grid Center. We worked together on many energy-related programmes and initiatives over the last few years, and I am delighted that we are now in the same team in DNV. We will leverage our knowledge and experience in the world-class power sector in Singapore, and extend our interests and activities towards the less mature but rapidly growing power industry in the countries of the region.”
